ENCANTARIAS: TECNOLOGIAS E SABERES ANCESTRAIS DE CURA PELAS FOLHAS DE OSSAIN

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to reflect on healing through leaves. It focuses on knowledge that has been passed down from generation to generation in order to produce ancestral technologies called enchantments to promote health. The work understands African and Afro-Brazilian cultures from their confluence, based on the vision of Cheik Anta Diop in his theory of the two cradles of civilization. However, the Yoruba culture is widely accessed to exemplify and direct understandings of health, care and healing, which is not limited to the absence of disease as it is assimilated in Western cultures. Herbs, with their axé, can be allies in the search for balance in the energetic and physical body through technologies such as herbal baths, shakes, infusions, syrups and others covered in the text. The second chapter explores the ways in which leaves are enchanted, the power of words over them, the classification of herbs and a cataloging of some of the herbs cultivated by the author. Exu's market, the feira livre, is the subject of the last chapter, dealing with the commercialization of these enchantments.

O presente trabalho tem como proposta fazer reflexões sobre a cura através das folhas. Trazendo como centralidade saberes que são transmitidos de geração em geração, a fim de produzir tecnologias ancestrais chamadas de encantarias, para promoção da saúde. O trabalho compreende as culturas africanas e afro-brasileiras a partir de suas confluências, usando como base a visão de Cheik Anta Diop em sua teoria dos dois berços civilizatórios. A cultura iorubá é amplamente acessada para exemplificar e direcionar entendimentos de saúde, cuidado e cura, que não se limita a ausência de doença como é assimilado nas culturas ocidentais. As ervas com seu axé, podem ser aliadas na busca pelo equilíbrio do corpo energético e físico através das tecnologias como os banhos de ervas, sacudimentos, infusões, xaropes entre outras abordadas no texto. Com isso são levantadas no segundo capítulo as formas de encantamento das folhas, o poder das palavras sobre elas, a classificação das ervas e uma catalogação de parte das ervas cultivadas pela autora. O mercado de Exu, a feira livre, é tema do último capítulo tratando da comercialização dessas encantarias
