AGRICULTURA FAMILIAR EM UMA PERSPECTIVA TRIDIMENSIONAL: UM ESTUDO NA BAIXADA FLUMINENSE

Abstract

Family Agriculture (AF) is an activity developed by small rural landowners, based on essentially family labor. This type of agriculture has its own initiative and is different from traditional models of work. This study aims to contextualize and analyze the pillars inherent to agricultural activities in the Baixada Fluminense (BF) in the state of Rio de Janeiro, considering the perspectives: entrepreneurial, psychosocial and solidary. The study was classified as quali-quanti with explanatory and descriptive purposes, consisting of structured interviews in order to better understand the profile of respondents, as well as their affinity for PA. For data analysis, the Likert Scale was used in order to investigate different contexts that may contribute to the study of PA around BF, using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to validate this phenomenon. Agricultural activities such as diversification, Agricultural Succession (AS), Business Model Innovation (BMI), Agricultural Innovation Systems (AIS) and the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) are key mechanisms that can strengthen the AF culture. In addition, it is necessary to understand the reallocations of rural work carried out by families shaped by local economic structures, especially the extent of agricultural activity, cooperation and business, employment outside the field. This study concluded that the assumptions raised in the research correspond to the true propositions, that is, that society is increasingly aware of the strategic role of the food system networks in the fight against hunger and extreme poverty, the contribution of AF to guarantee the food sovereignty of the communities, promoting and encouraging agroecological production.

A Agricultura Familiar (AF) é uma atividade desenvolvida por pequenos proprietários rurais, tendo como sua base, a mão de obra essencialmente familiar. Este tipo de agricultura possui uma iniciativa própria e distinta aos modelos tradicionais de trabalho. O presente estudo tem por objetivo contextualizar e analisar os pilares inerentes às atividades agrícolas na Baixada Fluminense (BF) no estado do Rio de Janeiro, considerando as perspectivas: empreendedora, psicossocial e solidária. O estudo foi classificado como quali-quanti com finalidades explicativa e descritiva, composto por entrevistas estruturadas em prol de compreender melhor o perfil dos respondentes, bem como a sua afinidade pela AF. Para a análise dos dados, foi utilizada a Escala Likert com o objetivo de investigar diferentes contextos que possam contribuir para o estudo da AF em torno da BF, utilizando a Modelagem por Equações Estruturais (SEM) para validar tal fenômeno. As atividades agrícolas como a diversificação, Sucessão Agrícola (AS), Business Model Innovation (BMI), Agricultural Innovation Systems (AIS) e a Política Agrícola Comum (PAC) são mecanismos fundamentais que podem fortalecer a cultura da AF. Além disso, faz-se necessário entender as realocações do trabalho rural realizadas pelas famílias moldadas pelas estruturas econômicas locais, especialmente a extensão da atividade agrícola, cooperação e empresa, emprego fora do campo. Esse estudo concluiu que os pressupostos levantados na pesquisa correspondem às proposições verdadeiras, isto é, que a sociedade tenha cada vez mais consciência do papel estratégico das redes do sistema alimentar no combate à fome e à miséria, torna-se fundamental a contribuição da AF para garantir a soberania alimentar das comunidades, promovendo e incentivando a produção de base agroecológica.
