Resumo

This dissertation allows us to learn about statements presented by Exame magazine and Portal Geledés, between the years 2021 and 2023, with the aim of reflecting on the place of black women in the Brazilian job market. With this, the study was carried out based on the articulation of quantitative research data to identify the relationship between the process of discursive production of this data and the erasure of black women in society. This dissertation is based on Discourse Analysis (DEUSDARÁ; ROCHA, 2021) in this direction, we point out how issues of gender and race (BENTO, 2003; GONZALÉZ, 2020) are being publicized by the media. To analyze the corpus, we relied on the dialogical perspective of language (BAKHTIN, 2000;2006) and the concepts of language- intervention (ROCHA, 2006;2014) and interdiscourse (PÊCHEUX, 2009). The concept of neoliberalism underlies research as rationality (DARDOT; LAVAL, 2016) and as an economic structure for capital accumulation (ANTUNES, 2018), just as race and racism were thought of as discursive categories (HALL, 2003; ALMEIDA, 2019. The initial hypothesis in this research is that both sites from which the texts were removed may present narratives that differentiate them, as well as harbor and reinforce a hegemonic and counter-hegemonic discourse. Initially, the texts collected were from opposing media, in an attempt to anticipate a comparison withneoliberal discourses that are associated with a markedly patriarchal society and, on the other hand, to find texts that contribute to the production of meaning for an anti-racist practice.
