This thesis's research focuses on occupational stress and quality of life in the context of COVID- 19. The objective was to analyze the social representations of physics and mathematics teachers and undergraduates at the Federal Institute of Education of Rio de Janeiro, Nilópolis campus, regarding these issues, based on the intensification of digital information and communication technologies in educational settings. The theoretical and methodological foundation is based on the Theory of Social Representations and Denise Jodelet's psychosocial approach. The methodological approach, with a qualitative approach designed based on online questionnaires, interviews, focus groups, and a systematic review of theses and articles, with content analysis as the main focus. The results revealed that social representations of occupational stress are directly associated with work overload, excessive bureaucracy, lack of time, and the resulting physical and mental exhaustion. Regarding quality of life, participants emphasized physical, emotional, and family well-being. Despite their recognized role in teaching and learning, digital technologies, when not accompanied by adequate training, can generate emotional, social, and physical imbalances, compromising both the health of teachers and the performance of students. Given this scenario, academic and workplace environments must adopt institutional policies that promote mental and physical health care. Strategies for monitoring, ongoing training, and psychosocial support must also developed to mitigate the effects of stress and foster healthier, more inclusive, and sustainable educational processes.en
