This study aims to reflect on the discursive production of the historical processof the social construction of the transvestite movement in Brazil. I propose a reflection on the production of reexistence literacy of the black transvestite population based on the discursive analysis of Bianca Manicongo on Instagram(@bixarte) and other transvestite knowledge. I seek to point out displacementsthat I have identified in the aforementioned social network, in line with the storyof Xica Manicongo, born in Congo and enslaved on Brazilian soil, officially registered as Francisco, currently known as the first transvestite in the Historyof Brazil, considering the records of his existence derived from the archives ofthe first Visitation of the Inquisition. Outlining a historical trajectory of the usesof information available since the 16th century, by researchers, social and artistic movements, the mobilization character of the construction of collective memory and its rele- vant role in the construction and protagonism of group identities is reiterated (Jesus, 2019). Located at the intersection between applied linguistics and social psychology, we rely on an idea of language that,in addition to being dialogic (Bakhtin, 1929; 1979), is a way of intervening in theworld and not just representing it (Rocha, 2006; 2014) as well as the concept of literacy of reexistence thought by Souza (2011). In this sense, we aim to understand the means of incorporating black transvestites into this social network, demarcating a space for social activism, so that their basic rights andthe full exercise of their citizenship are assured, denied, mainly, through the creation and updating of necropolitics (Mbembe, 2018).en
