This thesis aims to develop the green omnichannel approach and propose a framework to enable it. By ensuring transparency, traceability, visibility and security, blockchain tends to enable companies to acquire operational capacity through a closed loop supply chain (CLSC) and service capacity through reverse omnichannel, as well as mitigating the risks involved in the supply chain. The associated network of relationships can be strengthened by establishing behavioral incentive mechanisms that include both smart contracts on the blockchain and active return approaches in the circular economy (CE). The gaps relate to the impact of blockchain on CE systems (CLSC and reverse omnichannel). To this end, the PRISMA protocol was adopted to answer three research questions: (1) How can blockchain technology, smart contracts, the reverse omnichannel approach and behavioral incentive mechanisms be integrated into the circular economy to overcome its challenges and facilitate the adoption of closed-loop supply chains, ensuring transparency and traceability?; (2) What are the main gaps related to the management of CE systems? and (3) What is the definition of green omnichannel? This research revealed the pillars of green omnichannel, where the author proposed a formal definition, considering the constructs explored in the literature. The evidence shows that blockchain enables a more efficient CE system with reverse omnichannel solutions. The CLSC network can benefit from an active feedback approach by developing attractive incentives for collectors and amplifying the positive effects of blockchain, such as managing risks in the supply chain. Incentives for collectors are crucial to strengthening the operational and service capabilities of CE systems. It should be noted that the study did not investigate the particularities of other technologies belonging to Industry 4.0. However, retailers can use the results of this research to implement green omnichannel. In addition, collection points need to be strategically positioned to enable this operation and integrate the concept of smart contracts. This paper adopts a new approach to the study of CE, considering a double circular system consisting of a CLSC and a reverse omnichannel.en
