Resumo

A good practice to maintain the performance of power generation systems is planned maintenance, including in solar plants, whose implementation is growing. Inspections can be carried out through image analysis, mainly by flying over the panels. In the last decade, there have been great advances in the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in various applications, including the visual inspection of power plants. This rapid growth is due to its ability to perform various types of tasks with high flexibility aligned with reduced risks to human life and cost-effectiveness. Therefore, this work applies a Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) system to perform the inspection of photovoltaic systems Photovoltaic Systems (PVs) as a prerequisite in the initial activity of the maintenance cycle. However, the growing demands for more complex assignments have improved the capabilities of UAVs, driving the emergence of platforms with a high degree of autonomy to perform simultaneous tasks with less human intervention. One of the great challenges is maneuvering a UAV for stabilized flight consists of a highly coupled non-linear system with fast dynamics. Therefore, another contribution is the development of a hybrid Fuzzy-PID controller to control the altitude and position stability of the UAV. The results showed that the controller was able to perform the control satisfactorily, reducing the overshoot by up to 10% and reaching a shorter settling time than some compared models.
