O OPRESSOR E SEUS CÚMPLICES: UMA ANÁLISE DE DISCURSOS RACISTAS DE INFLUENCIADORES DIGITAIS NEGROS

Abstract

This research intends to reflect on the creation of conditions for cooptation by the oppressors, in order to update and perpetuate racism. To do so, we used the concept of organic intellectual based on Gramsci's (1989, 1999) thinking to discuss how the oppressive class forms agents who are responsible for propagating their ideologies among subordinates. In favor of the oppressive class, we see civil society organizations being perverted by capitalism to contaminate common sense with commercial values. By this logic, digital platforms become strategic means due to their agility and psychic and emotional appeals (SODRÉ, 2014), which challenge the subjectivity (SOUZA, 1983) of subaltern groups through homogenizing processes. Therefore, we place at the center of this discussion the issue of black digital influencers who cultivate, in their minds and in the minds of those who consume their audiovisual productions, ideas that go against what we believe to be anti-racist practices, such as the cult of neoliberalism and its consequences: meritocracy and self-entrepreneurship (DARDOT; LAVAL, 2016). Far from fighting these ideas, these organic intellectuals in favor of the bourgeoisie update common sense discourses that justify the physical and social extermination of the black individual in society (MBEMBE, 2018). Thus, from a discursive analysis of the videos hosted on Fernando Holiday's YouTube channel, we identify statements and meanings that allow us to defend how language, more than representing the world, is able to intervene in the construction of reality (ROCHA, 2006; 2014) to the point that blacks join ideas that despise affirmative policy actions and their importance in today's society (GOMES 2017).

Esta pesquisa pretende refletir acerca da criação de condições para cooptação por parte dos opressores, de modo a atualizar e perpetuar o racismo. Para tanto, nos valemos do conceito de intelectual orgânico com base no pensamento de Gramsci (1989, 1999), para discutir sobre como a classe opressora forma agentes que são responsáveis por propagar suas ideologias entre os subalternos. A favor da classe opressora, vemos as organizações da sociedade civil serem desvirtuadas pelo capitalismo para contaminar o senso comum com valores comerciais. Por essa lógica, as plataformas digitais tornam-se meios estratégicos devido a sua agilidade e apelos psíquicos e emocionais (SODRÉ, 2014), que interpelam a subjetividade (SOUZA, 1983) dos grupos subalternos a partir de processos homogeneizantes. Por isso, colocamos no centro desta discussão a questão de influenciadores digitais negros que cultivam, em suas mentes e na mente daqueles que consomem suas produções audiovisuais, ideias que vão na contramão do que acreditamos ser práticas antirracistas, como o culto ao neoliberalismo e seus desdobramentos: meritocracia e empreendedorismo de si (DARDOT; LAVAL, 2016). Longe de combater essas ideias, esses intelectuais orgânicos a favor da burguesia atualizam no senso comum discursos que justificam o extermínio físico e social do indivíduo negro na sociedade (MBEMBE, 2018). Assim, a partir de uma análise discursiva dos vídeos hospedados no canal de YouTube de Fernando Holiday, identificamos enunciados e sentidos que nos permitem defender como a linguagem, mais que representar o mundo, é capaz de intervir na construção da realidade (ROCHA, 2006; 2014) a ponto de que negros se afiliem a ideias que desprezam as ações de políticas afirmativas e a sua importância na sociedade atual (GOMES 2017).
