A hospital can be considered a system that contains a complex interdependent workflow. Technological innovations can bring several advantages to this context, since the quality of the treatment and the well-being of the patient can be directly benefited with those changes. The fourth industrial revolution brings solutions that allow the use of connectivity in order to increase the quality of products and services. In the present article, a systematic review was carried out on the integration of the subjects hospital health management and Industry 4.0. A qualitative and quantitative analysis of the 52 articles were made. In the review, only articles and reviews in English and indexed in Scopus and Web of Science databases that met the established screening criteria were selected. As a main result, limitations and opportunities for research on the fields were identified based on the analyzes, bringing the evolution of the literature over the last 7 years. The main highlights of the results are the largest number of works focusing on the Internet of Things technology, cloud computing and RFID, as well as the largest number of works from the United States, China and Korea. In addition, most of the works focused on improving patient monitoring, resource management and patient data. No works were found focusing on simulation and additive manufacturing technologies. Finally, Brazil still has few publications, being a gap to be explored, which would have its health system benefited from the study of industry 4.0 tools.en
