POÉTICA DO CINEMA: UMA ANÁLISE FÍLMICA DE CURTAS-METRAGENS DO CINEMA NEGRO BRASILEIRO CONTEMPORÃNEO

Abstract

This dissertation carries out a poetic analysis of two short films of contemporary Brazilian Black Cinema: Negrum3 (2018), by Diego Paulino, and Sem Wings (2018), by Renata Martins. In other words, it seeks to understand the effects production strategies present in the works. For that, it uses the methodology of film analysis Poetics of Cinema, adopted by the Film Analysis Laboratory of the Contemporary Communication and Culture Program at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). For this methodological perspective, the film is a work programmed to cause effects (of a sensory, emotional and/or cognitive nature) in an empirical spectator. From the identification of these effects, we seek to understand the way they were created by the creator of the work. Thus, the research aims to broaden the understanding of the poetic making of black and black filmmakers and the inner workings of contemporary Brazilian Black Cinema worksEsta dissertação realiza uma análise poética de dois curtas-metragens do Cinema Negro brasileiro contemporâneo: Negrum3 (2018), de Diego Paulino, e Sem Asas (2018), de Renata Martins. Ou seja, busca compreender as estratégias de produção de efeitos presentes nas obras. Para tanto, utiliza-se a metodologia de análise fílmica Poética do Cinema, adotada pelo Laboratório de Análise Fílmica do Programa de Comunicação e Cultura Contemporâneas da Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA). Para esta perspectiva metodológica, o filme é uma obra programada para causar efeitos(de natureza sensorial, emocional e/ou cognitiva) em um espectador empírico. A partir da identificação desses efeitos, busca-se entender o modo como foram criados pelo realizador da obra. Dessa maneira, a pesquisa visa ampliar o entendimento sobre o fazer poético de cineastas negros e negras e o funcionamento interno de obras do Cinema Negro brasileiro contemporâneo
