NEGRAS, DESNUDAS Y CRUDAS: QUESTÕES DE RAÇA, GÊNERO E TRADUÇÃO E SUAS CONSTRUÇÕES SOBRES OS CORPOS DAS MULHERES NEGRAS

Abstract

This work is inserted in the field of ethnic-racial and translation studies and its main objective is to analyze the translated work Negra Desnuda Cruda (2018) from an antiracist and black feminist perspective. To this end, I investigate the in-between of language, this so-called “oppressor’s language” (hooks, 2018), from the violent historical construction of the enslavement of African women and men that makes up Brazil. Considering the fundamental role of translation and its studies, I illustrate its challenges – especially when dealing with poetry, which is the case of the work studied in this paper – highlighting the paratexts and their relevance to end the invisibilization of black bodies. Invisibilization that gains new nuances on female bodies, so that I discuss about black feminisms, proclaiming different black women voices. Finally, I present the author Mel Duarte, her work in source and meta contexts, and explore the book-meta based on the studies of Lambert and Van Gorp ([1985] 2011). Through this analysis, I argue that the translated book Negra Desnuda Cruda (2018) and the image of Mel Duarte were composed from antiracist and feminist lens.

Este trabalho se insere no campo dos estudos étnico-raciais e no campo dos estudos da tradução e tem por objetivo central analisar a obra traduzida Negra Desnuda Cruda (2018) desde a ótica antirracista e feminista negra. Para tanto, investigo os entremeios da língua, esta dita do opressor (hooks, 2018), a partir da violenta construção histórica da escravização de africanas e africanos que compõe o Brasil. Tendo em vista o fundamental papel da tradução e de seus estudos, ilustro seus desafios – em especial tratando-se do gênero poesia, caso da obra estudada neste trabalho – destacando os paratextos e sua relevância para pôr fim à invisibilização de corpos negros.Invisibilização que ganha novos nuances sobre os corpos femininos, de forma que discuto sobre os feminismos negros, apregoando diferentes vozes negras e femininas. Por fim, apresento a autora Mel Duarte, sua obra nos contextos fonte e meta e exploro o livro-meta tendo como base os estudos de Lambert e Van Gorp ([1985] 2011). Através dessa análise, argumento que a obra traduzida Negra Desnuda Cruda (2018) e a imagem da escritora Mel Duarte foram compostas desde uma perspectiva antirracista e feminista.
