Resumo

In recent decades, the traditional approach focused on memorization and resolution of exercises has been criticized, coming as options against the traditional teaching scenery, the STS and interdisciplinary perspectives, as well as the active learning methodologies. In this context, the objective of this work is to analyze the perception of teachers about the challenges and potentialities faced when they develop interdisciplinary practices, based on STS assumptions, using active methodologies. From this perspective, the work can be classified as a case study research, being a qualitative research, in which the answers of the samples collected by the carried out interviews will be analyzed. The research was carried out through semi-structured, online, interviews and has, as participating subjects, teachers who work in the classroom, or who used to work, in the area of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. The interview contains open and closed questions and aims to obtain as answers the number of teachers who use the STS assumptions in conjunction with the active methodologies, as well as the report of their experiences in the classroom. Along with this research, a bibliographic survey of the Qualis A1 and A2 journals of the Sucupira Platform was performed, which had as keywords the terms STS, Interdisciplinarity and Active Learning Methodologies, with the intention of providing theoretical support to the research. As a result, few articles were found that discussed the subject Active Learning Methodologies, and even fewer that related these themes with STS and Interdisciplinarity, when we look at the segment in which these articles are directed, a focus on higher education is perceived, where most articles do not provide the Active Learning Methodology used in the research in question. The interviews, on the other hand, found that the relationship between these three themes can be very fruitful for the student and the school in general, if the teacher knows how to work with them, and for this the professional will need to have a good training. This indicates some problems, since all respondents reported having contact with the concepts studied long after undergraduation, in continuing education. Even so, it is noticeable some changes in this scenery, since the segment in which most articles were found, during the bibliographic analysis, was higher education, revealing a discreet movement in the academic world to change this perspective. We hope that the results will offer a basis for the future for a work involving a didactic sequence within the classroom, to analyze a proposal along the same lines.
