Society's behavior changes faster and faster, and as technology advances, these changes tend to accelerate; thus, the relationships between people in all social groups adapt to the new realities. Information is no longer transmitted by a holder of knowledge, but shared by anyone who has access to it. In this context, it is no longer necessary to possess information, but to know what to do with it to solve problems, especially in groups. Collaborative work generates knowledge from the formation of networks and thus individual knowledge is shared in favor of building collective knowledge that contributes to the development of all. Despite this, the school, in general, remains an institution that values the accumulation of knowledge and keeps trying to measure it individually. In relation to the education of the deaf, the situation is even more sensitive, since, in addition to the issues raised, the specificities of the student are not always respected. Over time, from silent struggles, more appropriate proposals have been implemented. This research analyzed how deaf students create knowledge networks working collaboratively from Problem-Based Activities. The activity was carried out in classes at the National Institute of Education for the Deaf during Chemistry classes and from it it was possible to analyze how these students build networks of knowledge in the collaborative learning process. During the process, two environment configurations that allowed different forms of collaboration were tested. The activities were recorded on video and transcribed into software capable of converting them into communication flow maps. From the results obtained, it was observed that the organization of the learning environment can be an important factor in discursive interactions of a visuospatial character and can enhance the formation of knowledge networks among deaf subjects.en
