Abstract

In philosophy, the relationships between loom and fabric do not occur randomly. Plato and Aristotle constitute them as topoi for later understanding, as well myths and poems that portray the function of weaving or fabric. In a series of philosophical thoughts around fabric and clothing from antiquity to modernity and their possible developments in a world of intense transformations and crises.

Na filosofia, as relações do tear, tecido e tessitura não se dão por mero acaso. Platão e Aristóteles as constituem como topói para a compreensão posteriori, assim como mitos e poemas que retratam a função da tecelagem ou do tecido. Apresentamos uma rede de pensamentos filosóficos em torno do tecido e da roupa desde a antiguidade até a modernidade e seus possíveis desdobramentos num mundo de intensas transformações e crises.
