| dc.description.abstract | This dissertation aims to answer the following question: how do slam poetry performances by black women take place, which are shared on digital social networks? Based on this issue, I propose methodological paths regarding this genre (spoken word) undertaken, mostly, by black subjects, starting from the bibliographic review of Caneiro (2023), Cesáire (2020), Munanga (2014), Pinheiro (2023), with dialogues about the concepts of race and raciality, which are constructed in this research. From an Afro-referenced perspective of African diasporas (NJERI, 2023), in the field of theories that consider ethnic-racial relations, I sought a dialogue with literature by black authors, notably slam, as I understand that it is constructed as a literary movement. Thus, in this research I discuss concepts that attempt to locate slam producers within a theoretical line of Afro-Brazilian and black-Brazilian literature (CUTI, 2010; DUARTE, 2010), understanding that these productions are made through the act of living and writing, writing (EVARISTO, 2020). I observed that slam is a product of orality, of text created to be spoken, having first arrived in the city of São Paulo (D’ALVA, 2014), later spreading throughout the country. In slam battles, the subject is socially experienced in their subjectivities (KILOMBA, 2019), social acts are lived and embodied in performative representations. In this work, slam battles are thought from the perspective of the performative act (ZUMTHOR, 2018), the oral text (MARTINS, 2021) produced in a certain context and resignified in its discursive and social practices (MAINGUENEAU, 1997), since every enunciative act generates certain meanings. For this research, two profiles of slam groups from the city of São Paulo were selected, Slam Resistência and Slam da Guilhermina and the study period comprised the years 2023 and 2024. After selecting these profiles on Instagram and YouTube, three poems by black women were chosen for textual transcription and, thus, analyzed under the aspects of performance, oral text, and the context of production. In this way, the work revealed how much poetry slam moves the artistic and literary field, in addition to the multiple meanings employed in its, going beyond the traditional literary text. | en |
| pt |
