LETRAMENTOS DE INSPIRAÇÃO GRIÔ: CONTAÇÃO DE HISTÓRIAS E LITERATURA INFANTOJUVENIL NEGRA POR UMA EDUCAÇÃO ANTIRRACISTA

Abstract

The aim of this work is to discuss the notion of griot-inspired literacy based on the analysis of the impact of the Griot-Inspired Storytelling and Black Children's Literature course on the pedagogical practice of teachers/educators and other cultural agents. To this end, the paths taken in this research were the understanding of the history, context and function of the African griots/griottes and the griots of the African diaspora, in the Brazilian context, as they are the guardians of ancestral knowledge, preserved and transmitted by oral tradition. Then, we have made approximations between Black Children's Literature, the Storytelling of Griot Inspiration and the notion of critical racial literacy. Then we have described the course experience based on its guiding principles, editions, methodology and target audience. Finally, the type of literacy promoted by the project was identified from the analysis of autobiographical narratives of teachers, artists and cultural agents who participated in the initiative. The proposal here was to start the development of the concept of griô-inspired literacy, directing an attentive look at practices and knowledge historically stigmatized and diminished in their importance and functionality, as a consequence of the structural racism of Brazilian society. We also intend to direct an attentive look at the expanding universe of Black Children's Literature, understanding the creative junction of these languages as a rich possibility for an antiracist education.

O objetivo deste trabalho é discutir a noção de letramento de inspiração griô a partir da análise do impacto do curso de Contação de histórias de Inspiração Griô e Literatura Infantojuvenil Negra na prática pedagógica de professores/educadores e outros agentes culturais. Para tal, os caminhos percorridos nesta pesquisa foram a compreensão da história, contexto e função dos/as griots/griottes africanos/as e dos/as griôs da diáspora africana, no contexto brasileiro, sendo eles/elas os guardiões/ães de saberes ancestrais preservados e transmitidos pela tradição oral. Em seguida, foram tecidas aproximações entre a Literatura infantojuvenil Negra, a Contação de História de Inspiração Griô e a noção de letramento racial crítico. A seguir, foi feita a descrição da experiência do curso a partir de seus princípios orientadores, suas edições, metodologia e público alvo. Por fim, foi feita a identificação do tipo de letramento fomentado pelo projeto a partir da análise de narrativas autobiográficas de docentes, artistas e agentes culturais que participaram da iniciativa. A proposta aqui foi iniciar o desenvolvimento do conceito de letramento de inspiração griô, direcionando um olhar atento para práticas e conhecimentos historicamente estigmatizados e diminuídos em sua importância e funcionalidade, como consequência do racismo estrutural da sociedade brasileira. E também direcionar um olhar atento para o universo em expansão da Literatura Infantojuvenil Negra, compreendendo a junção criativa dessas linguagens como uma rica possibilidade de contribuir para uma educação antirracista.
