O ENSINO DECOLONIAL ATRAVÉS DO ENSINO DE MATEMÁTICA NA FORMAÇÃO DE PROFESSORES

Abstract

This research aimed to critically discuss the teaching of mathematics in teacher training within the Normal Professional Course. To achieve this, a theoretical framework was sought in the decolonial approach, which engages with teaching practices that aim for interculturality in education and contributes to the reflection on mathematics learning. The research, of a qualitative nature, consisted of a case study in third-year high school classes during the 2022 academic year. A didactic sequence was developed, proposing to teach the mathematical content present in the second and third-year high school curriculum based on the experiences of students in the vocational course. The study also sought to identify the origins of the course and its students. In the end, it was observed that sociocultural, political, economic, and gender-related arguments were highlighted throughout the research.Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo discutir criticamente o ensino de matemática na formação de professores no Curso Profissionalizante Normal. Para tanto, buscou-se um marco teórico no enfoque decolonial, que dialoga com práticas docentes que visam a interculturalidade no ensino e contribui para reflexão do aprendizado de matemática. A pesquisa, de caráter qualitativo, consistiu em um estudo de caso nas turmas de terceiro ano do ensino médio no ano letivo de 2022. Foi elaborada uma sequência didática que propôs desenvolver os conteúdos matemáticos presentes no currículo do segundo e terceiro ano do ensino médio em torno da vivência dos estudantes do curso profissionalizante. Buscou-se ainda identificar as origens do curso e das estudantes. Observou-se, ao final, que argumentos socioculturais, políticos, econômicos e de gênero foram destacados durante a pesquisa.
