DIVULGAÇÃO CIENTÍFICA, ENSINO DE CIÊNCIAS E MEIO AMBIENTE: UM ESTUDO SOBRE DISSERTAÇÕES E TESES BRASILEIRAS

Abstract

The present work is an analysis of the approximations between Scientific Dissemination (DC), Environment (MA) and Science Teaching (ENCI), with the aim of investigating, in the Capes Catalog of Theses and Dissertations database, studies that evidence these three areas of knowledge. Thus, we traced a methodological path based on the Systematic Review, for general mapping of the selected studies, and investigation of the socio-environmental issues involved, the CD strategies evidenced, the contributions of the studies to the Teaching of Science, the methodological strategies, and the subjects involved in the investigated research. The corpus of the representative sample totaled 63 studies, 12 of which were conducted at the Doctorate level, 28 at the Academic Master's Level, and 23 at the Professional Master's Level. In addition, the investigation of the abstracts of the selected studies enabled the process of thematic categorization. The southeast, with 30% of the selected studies, and the northeast, 27%, predominate in the frequency of representative studies, but the north region also stands out, with 19% of the representations in the sample cut. Reaffirming the public commitment to Science, the predominant institutions, the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), the University of the State of Amazonas (UEA), the Federal Institute of Espírito Santo (IFES), and the State University of Southwest Bahia (UESB), belong to the public administrative sphere and represent 12.9% of the total number of institutions identified, in a total percentage of 44% of the representative studies in the sample cut. The supervisors of the studies in the sample show a congruent trend in relation to the most frequent defense institutions of the studies and regional locations. The main research themes of the advisors are in line with the three areas of knowledge investigated in this research. The results show that the use of CD strategies with diverse audiences and different levels of education, such as students, teachers and the school community, promotes contextualization, scientific literacy and reflections on teacher training in Science Teaching. CD demonstrated potential for mediation of the approach to socio-environmental themes in Science Teaching, using CD strategies, such as dialogicity; non-formal spaces; diversified strategies; artistic resources; Textual; and technological technologies. These strategies have been shown to contribute to awareness-raising; critical reflection; and practical experiences, in alignment with meaningful teaching. However, challenges such as the continuous training of teachers and the inclusion of CD strategies for children still require further studies to maximize the contributions of CD to the teaching of socio-environmental themes.

O presente trabalho se trata de uma análise das aproximações entre Divulgação Cientifica (DC), Meio Ambiente (MA) e Ensino de Ciências (ENCI), com o intuito de investigar, na base de dados Catálogo Capes de Teses e Dissertações, estudos que evidenciam essas três áreas do conhecimento. Assim, traçamos um caminho metodológico pautado na Revisão Sistemática, para mapeamento geral dos estudos selecionados, e investigação das questões socioambientais envolvidas, das estratégias de DC evidenciadas, das contribuições dos estudos para o Ensino de Ciências, das estratégias metodológicas, e dos sujeitos envolvidos nas pesquisas investigadas. O corpus da amostra representativa totalizou 63 pesquisas, 12 aportadas no nível acadêmico Doutorado, 28, no Mestrado Acadêmico, e 23, no Mestrado Profissional. Além disso, a investigação dos resumos das pesquisas selecionadas possibilitou o processo de categorização temática. As regiões, sudeste, com 30% dos estudos selecionados, e nordeste, 27%, predominam na frequência dos estudos representativos, porém, também há destaque para a região norte, com 19% das representações do recorte amostral. Reafirmando o compromisso público com a Ciência, as instituições predominantes, Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA), Universidade do Estado do Amazonas (UEA), Instituto Federal do Espírito Santo (IFES), e Universidade Estadual do Sudoeste da Bahia (UESB), pertencem à esfera administrativa pública e representam 12,9% do total de instituições identificadas, em um total percentual de 44% dos estudos representativos do recorte amostral. Os orientadores dos estudos da amostra evidenciam uma tendência congruente em relação às instituições de defesa dos estudos e localizações regionais mais frequentes. Os temas principais de investigação dos orientadores coadunam com as três áreas do conhecimento investigadas nesta pesquisa. Os resultados evidenciam que o uso de estratégias de DC junto a públicos diversos e diferentes níveis de escolaridade, como, estudantes, professores e comunidade escolar, promove a contextualização, o Letramento Científico e reflexões sobre a formação docente no Ensino de Ciências. A DC demonstrou potencial para mediação da abordagem de temáticas socioambientais no Ensino de Ciências, utilizando estratégias de DC, como, dialogicidade; espaços não-formais; estratégias diversificadas; recursos artísticos; textuais; e tecnológicos. Estas estratégias demonstraram contribuições para a sensibilização; reflexão crítica; e vivências práticas, em alinhamento com um ensino significativo. Contudo, desafios como a formação contínua de professores e a inclusão de estratégias de DC para o público infantil ainda demandam mais estudos para maximização das contribuições da DC para o ensino de temáticas socioambientais.
