The present work aims to investigate the children's books belonging to Clubinho Preto and their influence on the practices of afroliteracy in the family space that reverberate in other spaces that the child attends such as school. Children need to recognize themselves as subjects and authors of their own history, to know the history of their ancestors, not only as individuals who were enslaved, but who even enslaved fought for their freedom. We live in a society ruled by racism, prejudice and discrimination; discussing these issues in the school and family environment is still quite controversial and complex, as Cavalleiro (2006) rightly states. However, it is a matter that needs to be reflected and discussed by all the characters who work in the school, especially in the first segment of Elementary School and in literacy classes. paradigms. According to Ramos (2015), silencing, invisibility and non-recognition are historical dimensions that mark the references of Afro-Brazilian and African culture in the Brazilian school environment. Our initial hypothesis tells us that using children's literature with positive Afro-Brazilian and African references serves as a stimulus for the construction of an education based on the denaturalization of social racist practices, leading the child to understand their ancestry, through respect and appreciation of their ancestry, thus culminating in the strengthening of their selfesteem.en
