BRANQUITUDE E PSICOLOGIA: O ESTADO DA ARTE E RELAÇÕES ÉTNICO-RACIAIS (2003-2018)

Abstract

The present work deals with the State of the Art of the concepts of whiteness in the academic production of Brazilian psychologists in Brazil in the Master's Dissertations and Doctoral Theses produced in the period from 2003 to 2018, available in the Capes databases, BDTD, Public Domain and Google Scholar. The research is qualitative and consists of quantitative analyzes and procedures. We carry out a bibliographical survey of the works and their selection, combining information, organization and classification of results based on the techniques defined for the review studies of the type “State of the Art or Knowledge”. The historical survey of Academic Production in the field of Psychology is important to understand how the research of Brazilian psychologists on Brazilian white is found after the implementation of public policies of affirmative socio-racial actions in that period. Understanding how psychologists work the concepts of whiteness / whiteness from the perspective of a country where 54% of the population declares themselves black and the academy does not correspond to this ethnic-racial reality is fundamental for psychology practices. How public policies of affirmative actions since the 2000s have influenced such researchers and what powers they have to influence the psychology academic environments. What contributions can such researchers make on the theme of ethnic-racial relations and what changes have they triggered, pointing out trends, gaps, recurrences and future perspectives, enabling other researchers to continue the theme. The investigation show: the number of works over the selected period; the regional, territorial and institutional frequency; areas of knowledge in which it occurred; origin of the universe and objectives; main methodological approaches; and a synthesis with the systematization of the implications, conclusions and proposals pointed out in the works. The production of academic research in graduate studies is important to think of a whiteness forged from the enslavement of blacks, eugenic theory and the attempt to whiten the Brazilian population, as well as the subsequent assimilation of miscegenation as a project to erase racism from the Brazilian one. through belief in the myth of racial democracy. The construction of Brazilian structural and institutional racism as a corollary to the concept of Brazilian whiteness.

O presente trabalho trata do Estado da Arte do conceito branquitude na produção acadêmica de psicólogas brasileiras no Brasil nas Dissertações de Mestrado e Teses de Doutorado produzidas no período de 2003 a 2018, disponibilizadas nos bancos de dados da Capes, da BDTD, do Domínio Público e do Google Acadêmico. A pesquisa é qualitativa e constituída de análises e procedimentos de natureza quantitativa. Realizamos um levantamento bibliográfico das obras e sua seleção, conjugando informações, organização e classificação dos resultados com bases nas técnicas definidas para os estudos de revisão do tipo “Estado da Arte ou do Conhecimento”. O levantamento histórico da Produção Acadêmica no campo da Psicologia é importante para entender como se encontram as pesquisas de psicólogos(as) brasileiros(as) sobre o branco brasileiro após a implementação das políticas públicas de ações afirmativas sócio-raciais no referido período. Entender como os(as) Psicólogos(as) trabalham o conceito branquitude sob a perspectiva de um país onde 54% da população se declara negra e a academia não corresponde a essa ealidade étnico-racial é fundamental para as práticas psicológicas. Como as políticas públicas de ações afirmativas a partir dos anos 2000 têm influenciado tais pesquisadores e que potências têm para influenciar os ambientes acadêmicos psicológicas. Que contribuições tais pesquisadores podem trazer sobre o tema das relações étnico-raciais e que mudanças acionaram, apontando as tendências, as lacunas, as recorrências e perspectivas futuras, possibilitando a continuidade do tema por outros pesquisadores. A investigação permitiu evidenciar: o quantitativo de trabalhos ao longo do período selecionado; a frequência regional, territorial e de instituições; áreas de conhecimento em que ocorreu; procedência do universo e dos objetivos; principais abordagens metodológicas; e uma síntese com a sistematização das implicações, conclusões e propostas apontadas nos trabalhos. A produção das pesquisas acadêmicas nas pós-graduações é importante para pensarmos uma branquitude forjada a partir da escravização dos negros, da teoria eugênica e da tentativa de branqueamento da população brasileira, bem como a posterior assimilação da mestiçagem como projeto de apagamento dos racismos à brasileira por meio da crença no mito da democracia racial. A construção do racismo estrutural e institucional brasileiro como corolário ao conceito de branquitude brasileira.
