Resumo

Research in the areas of Teaching Chemistry, Technology and Theory of Social Representations (SRT) can bring significant contributions to the educational field. Based on the TRS perspective, it seeks to understand the relationship between educational technology and teaching in chemistry. And answer through representations: “How is technology represented by chemistry teachers in high school?”. The universe of this study is located in the municipality of Camocim-CE, located 364 km from the capital of Ceará. It investigates the content of the objects defined in the discursive manifestations of teachers who teach the discipline of Chemistry in High School, who make up the state teaching staff of the municipality. We can highlight as a sociocultural issue that the curricular guidelines are in opposition to the state law that inhibits any cell phone, or similar devices, tablets, etc. Eleven teachers working in the discipline of Chemistry in High School in the city were interviewed. The methodological proposal used was qualitative, through the use of content analysis technique, specifically, thematic categorical analysis, using a semi-structured questionnaire as a resource for data collection. Atlas.ti software assists in the hermeneutics of the process. Where it was possible to evaluate the discourse of chemistry teachers in the city of CamocimCeará about technologies. With the answers of the interviewees, it is possible to identify that the situations in which teachers use educational technologies are based on the basic idea of the features that technology provides to the school environment through technological devices that we use in everyday life. The direct influence of everyday life is very representative in the form of knowledge that the group of teachers manifests in their discourse. It is associated with the human production of doing things, through the application of methods provided through technology.
